Singh was reported in a statement as stating that the fuel cell, which uses hydrogen and air to generate energy to power the bus and produces only water as waste, may be the most environmentally beneficial means of transportation.
According to the press release, a single diesel bus operating on long-distance routes generally produces 100 tons of CO2 yearly, and India is home to over a million of these vehicles. According to him, a freight revolution might occur in the nation as a result of the reduced operating costs of hydrogen fuel cell trucks compared to those powered by diesel.

"Heavy vehicles fueled by diesel emit between 12 and 14 percent of total CO2 emissions. Vehicles powered by hydrogen fuel cells are a great way to stop this sector's on-road emissions, "he stated.
